What happened to the general store of days past? Did the evolution of society render it useless? Or was it sabotaged by loose fiscal policies and cheap credit?

Main Street is being killed by big-box chain stores. The small-town is disappearing along with jobs, wealth and the community’s heart and soul. Still, many wonder what has happened to our country’s middle class…..can Angels play that HAARP [http://www.rense.com/]
The Ag Trading Post is a general merchant like no other. We fill our store with products we’re proud to use in our own homes; sturdy wares from producers that mirror our own mission and values. We require 95% of our offerings to be manufactured within America the Beautiful, with a strong focus on local production.
More importantly, at the Ag Trading Post, you won’t find us accepting green “cash” as payment. No credit cards either. We believe paper “money” is debt, and debt is slavery. And so, as payment for goods and services, we exclusively accept – Value for Value.
Value comes from hard work, not from moochers who ask for favors and offer nothing in return, or from looters who steal through force or legislation backed by the end of a gun. Value comes from production and honest trade.
The Ag Trading Post is the cornerstone of the local Dallas trade economy. We provide goods and services to the public as well as our growing network of local merchants and service providers that barter using AOCS Approved Silver medallions as a private voluntary medium of exchange.

We’ll have plenty of Merchants from the group showing off their wares, as well as food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. Planning to come in from out of town? GREAT! We’ll put you in touch with a Trade Coordinator that can get you booked at a nearby hotel; and yes, of course they accept Silver! Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 12th from 6pm to….whenever! RSVP today! See The Barter Hour Radio Show!
Beginning at 9pm Central time, we will host a 2 hour radio show, accessible through the Ag Trading Post website. Tune in to learn about the dedicated producers that are creating the new economy and be the first to get great deals on products and services made available first to those that tune in to the radio show!

The obverse features an artistic rendition of the Lakota Indian warrior Crazy Horse, who gained great attention for his participation in the 1876 battle of the Little Bighorn. Although there are no known photographs of Crazy Horse, the obverse artwork was commissioned by Kenneth Ferguson, famed American Indian painter and artist. The reverse image shows the buffalo, a sacred ancestor of the Lakota Oyate.
